Preparing & Moving In

Move-in Day Checklist

Complete these important steps when you arrive to ensure a smooth move-in.

Visit your local office to collect the keys on the day you arranged with our leasing staff. To release the keys, we must have a fully signed lease agreement and your move-in balance must have been paid fully with certified funds. Bring a photo ID for us to verify you are listed on the lease. If you need to authorize someone else to pick up keys for you, contact your local office. For roommates, the first person to arrive will pick up all keys and any parking tags.
Please park considerately when you arrive at the unit so that you do not block driveways or fire lanes, or park on the lawn. For furniture and larger items, use side or rear doors to prevent accidental damage to the lobby. Make sure all utilities — both those included with your lease and those you were required to place in your name — are working properly. Check all keys (mailbox, rental unit, building) to make sure they work.
You will receive a link to the move-in inspection form when your lease begins. Complete and submit the form within 48 hours of entering your home to document any pre-existing damage and help prevent related charges at move-out. Because the form can be submitted only once, residents with roommates should inspect the rental together and coordinate their responses before submitting it.
You will receive an invitation to enroll in our Resident Center. Please complete your registration promptly, as this platform will be used to check balances and pay rent, submit and track routine service requests, send and receive important communications, and upload documents such as your move-in inspection form.
